After an evening of Superb Jazz! Chalkers Pub heats the night up with some Serious Old School bringing you the best in Retro, Disco, Funk & Classic Rock featuring DJ VYNIL CRUSH and Live Band SOUL STEW 9:30pm to 2:00am

Soul Stew, formed in 1990 as the house band at the Bamboo Club for their soul series is made up of some of the most accomplished and versatile studio musicians in Toronto.

Soul Stew plays a mixture of Soul, Rythmn and Blues, Funk and Jazz inspired by the classic soul sounds of Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone. The Philly Sound,Motown and Stax Volt shaped into one seamless groove.

Soul Stew has individually and collectively performed with: Parachute Club, Boss Brass, Manteca, Tito Puente, Dream Warriors, Devon, Holly Cole, Bruce Cockburn, the Canadian Brass, Anne Murray, Rita McNeil and Jane Bunnett. Soul Stew has performed at the: Toronto International Film Festival, The Dora Awards, First Night and the Downtown Toronto Jazz Festival.
